The most comprehensive showcase of contemporary Indonesian art in one fair.
The Indonesian Pavilion will be an unprecedented presentation on the best of Indonesian Contemporary Art. With Indonesia as the largest and strongest art scene in the Southeast Asian region, Art Stage Singapore is thrilled to present Indonesia in such a thorough and comprehensive manner, with over 50 of the most important and most interesting Indonesian artists being presented in both various renowned gallery booths and in a complementary exhibition. This unique artistic platform will display key Indonesian galleries as well as feature a curated exhibition of Indonesia’s leading contemporary artists and an education centre managed by the Indonesian Visual Art Archive (I.V.A.A.).
50 artists and art collectives in one show.
Up to 50 Indonesian artists will be showcased at the fair. Among these 50 artists, artists such as Entang Wiharso, Sri Astari and Titarubi shall be representing Indonesia at the 55th Venice Biennale. Most of the works on show will be unveiled for the first time outside of Indonesia, with many being created exclusively for Art Stage. The complementary exhibition within the Pavilion promises to unearth some truly amazing works of art. Confirmed Indonesian artists at Art Stage Singapore 2013 include:

Learning about Indonesia: Resource centre run by the Indonesian Visual Art Archive
An Education Centre housed within the Pavilion and managed by the I.V.A.A. will provide visitors with a library, screenings and discussion areas for documentary screenings, performances and talks, designed to encourage fair goers to further explore the past and present of the vibrant Indonesian contemporary arts scene.

Up to 50 Indonesian artists will be showcased at the fair, some of them in spectacular presentations by leading Indonesian galleries such as Nadi Gallery, Semarang Gallery, D Gallerie and Element Art Space, while others prominent Galleries such as Arario Gallery and Gajah Gallery prefer to position themselves individually (outside the Pavilion).
